Continuously Vegetation Greening over Inner Mongolia for the Past Three Decades

چکیده
The warming climate has rapidly altered vegetation growth in drylands, and consequently, put great pressure on sustainable livelihoods. Various datasets have been applied from local to global scale study dynamics there is a lack of solid comparison among multiple datasets. Note that might shift over time the greening browning components long-time span be masked by linear trend. Here, we aim monitor long-term nonlinear greenness for Inner Mongolia (an important part dryland Asia). As useful tool indicates greenness, NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) LAI (Leaf Area integrals derived GIMMS (Global Inventory Modelling Mapping Studies) NDVI3g LAI3g products are applied. During period 1982-2016, NDVI/LAI an overall acceptable consistency characterizing trends with large/small increase at rate 0.96, 1.72, 2.23, 3.13 per decade, respectively. experienced noticeable process (71% 82% area integrals, 67% 73% integrals), despite fragmentally distributed eastern partial northern Mongolia. inferred trend analysis, found still prevalent. under analysis was actually transferring greening, while changing browning. Increased occurrences frequency breakpoints after 1999 suggest previously stable ecology more sensitive external disturbances such as climatic impact anthropogenic intervention.

Increased female authorship in otolaryngology over the past three decades.
OBJECTIVE To identify changing trends in female authorship and publication in the otolaryngology literature. METHODS All articles published in the four major otolaryngology journals in each of the years 1978, 1988, and 1998 were reviewed. The authorship panel of each article was examined for number of authors, gender, educational degree category, and subspecialty area of publication. Data wer...
متن کاملTemporal Variations in Soil Moisture for Three Typical Vegetation Types in Inner Mongolia, Northern China
Drought and shortages of soil water are becoming extremely severe due to global climate change. A better understanding of the relationship between vegetation type and soil-moisture conditions is crucial for conserving soil water in forests and for maintaining a favorable hydrological balance in semiarid areas, such as the Saihanwula National Nature Reserve in Inner Mongolia, China. We investiga...

The surface air temperature response to vegetation changes has been studied for the extreme case of land-cover change1–5; yet, it has never been quantified for the slow but persistent increase in leaf area index (LAI) observed over the past 30 years (Earth greening)6,7. Here we isolate the fingerprint of increasing LAI on surface air temperatureusinga coupled land– atmosphere global climate mod...
متن کاملEffect of climate and CO2 changes on the greening of the Northern Hemisphere over the past two decades
[1] Study of the effect of current climate changes on vegetation growth, and their spatial patterns improves our understanding of the interactions between terrestrial ecosystems and climatic systems. This paper explores the spatial patterns of vegetation growth responding to climate variability over Northern Hemisphere (>25 N) from 1980 to 2000 using a mechanistic terrestrial carbon model. The ...
